Replace Factory Speakers in FJ Cruiser??? (1 Viewer)

Was wondering if anyone has replaced the factory speakers in their FJC and what exeperience you had. I want to replace all the factory speakers and just keep the factory head unit for now. I have the 8 speaker system(2 dash, 2 front doors, 2 rear pillar, and 2 in headliner(obviously not changing those))My questions are...

What size speakers can you fit in the front dash and rear pillars without any mods? Do they fit in factory mount? What did you have to do to get them to fit?

I've seen some mounts on TacoTunes - Toyota Speaker and Dash Mount Kits that look pretty good for 6x9's for the doors....was considering using those.....has anyone used these? How did the install go? Pictures?

Any pictures or advice you could pass along from your experiences would be appreciated.

I had Cartoys replace all the speakers except for the ones in the headliner.

I still have not done phase III yet which consists of another amp and a 12" or 2 x 10" subs.
I may not, as it sounds pretty darn good now, and the Focal 6.5" speakers have some good bass response.
