Here's my scenarion: '99 LC with a broken CD player and a horrible FM/AM radio reception. I hardly listen to my radio any more.
I'm looking for a place to mount my 2 meter ham radio and am thinking that if I removed the stock CD player, I could mount the ham radio in its place.
I would need to fabricate a mount and a face plate for a clean install.
But my question is, would it easy enough to put the ham radio external speakers through the stock speaker system? I remember reading something about the stock amp causing issues with using aftermarket audio inputs.
I think that if I put a ham radio in with a wide receive on it, I could still tune in an FM radio music station if I really wanted to.
