Just got a 2000 lx470 with 240k miles. Seems to be in good shape and never taken off road. I took it in to get it checked out and they tell me the ABS module is leaking. I have not had any lights come on or the dreaded buzzer I have read about on the forum. The breaks seem to work fine but there is a leak which seems to be between “black box” and the motor:

It’s a slow leak and brake fluid level hasn’t dropped since I’ve owned it. It seems like the problem will likely be the motor as described on this forum And that I will likely have to replace it at some point. The question is whether I should do that now or wait until I get ABS warning light or buzzer? It looks like I can take it to Andy Le (fairly close to me) and he will install refurbished unit for about $900 all in. What are the risks of waiting? I don’t want a complete brake failure!

I have the same exact problem. Im planning on replacing the entire assembly unless someone has fixed this a different way please post.

Im at 245k
