My name is Josh Frick. Last year I renewed with someone (sec or treasurer?) over the phone and asked the woman on the phone to have my membership auto renewed. She mentioned I needed to sign a form and send it in, which I did, but my last TT I received had the infamous renew page glued to the cover. I'm confused. Is this a mistake? Who should I contact?

I love my cruisers, love the TLCA, fully support it and TT, but it seems real hard to renew. Everyone I talk to in the cruiser community seems to have the same problems. Is it possible to make this process any easier? Seems like membership numbers would be up if there was a simpler way to stay a member. Most people I encounter that are past members didn't intentionally decline membership, but rather encountered difficulty renewing and their membership just lapsed.

renewal reminders come in last 2 issues, autorenewal takes place in month of expiration so you will receive renewal reminder but autorenewal will occur at end of current membership. Mailing list go to the publisher a month prior to issue printing and mailing. Thus the overlap prior to expiration.
Membership questions should be directed to the admin via the 1800 # in the front of the trails or admin email address listed in front of trails.
We can add a note on the last issue reminder blow in to state autorenewal procedures and how they apply. WIll add that to next printing of blowings. Great idea.
If your credit card expires or is declined you will be contacted which is most likely the biggest issue in autorenal..
If you just got the blow-in this issue you will not be expiring yet your autorenewal will be in the month of march.

Hi Josh,

We just finally got auto renewal in place recently - it was supposed to be earlier this year, but there were a few glitches that came up and they are now resolved. As Erik wrote, call (800) 655-3810 or email membership@tlca.org. Auto renewals were a bit of a controversial issue on the Board of Directors. Some people hate them and think it is a scam whenever companies do it, others think it just helps people not have to remember and know they will get their Toyota Trails without interruption. To protect our members and make sure they REALLY want auto-renewal, it is an opt-in thing and you have to sign off on it. We've been working really hard over the past year to make renewing painless and easy.
