Dear Cruisers,

One of the previous owners had a terrible local paint job done on my LJ70 in the inside doors and there is a quarter inch of overspray around the edges of all of the door panels (yeah skilled labor here is $2 a day. They could have removed the panels). Any good suggestions for removing it without damaging the vinyl?

Also, someone took a can of spray paint to the overhead light lens and surrounding headliner to, presumably, make it less bright when the light was on. Any suggestions for getting paint out of the headliner? it will scrape off the lens with no worries.

It is wicked humid here and I have some mildew in the headliner and flip down visors. Will a light mix of bleach clean these up without making them splotchy?

Final question for interior care: it looks like the seats must come out to remove the carpet for a good cleaning. Are there any other screwed in parts that hold the carpet in and/or glue or should it lift out readily?

Many thanks,
Rich
