Removing Shifter Gate - 5-speed Auto

Can anyone give me tips on removing the shifter gate (MY 2006 LC, 5 speed auto) to clean it up? PO filled it with spilled coffee and crushed peanuts. I'd like to take it apart and really clean it out. Can't find anything in my FSM about tearing it down.

Any tips much appreciated.

Figured it out:

1. Unscrew shift knobs, put truck in N
2. Open cup holder and tug up (back and forth) on the compartment until the back set of clips release
3. Continue working towards front, middle clips will release
4. Front corners will release
5. Unplug all connectors and remove surround
6. There are two tabs on the PS of the shifter cover, release and pull up.

Clean and reverse!
