Got a light bulb out. I want to replace it with an LED anyway.
How do ya remove the lenzes on the front park ( not the blinkers) lights?

pop the hood and remove the most outboard screw above the headlights, than firmly pull straight foreward on the parking light and it will pop out of it's retainer.

I just noticed last night that one of mine is out also, people have tried the LED's up there so far none have liked them, to directional.

Owners manual...who would have thunk. I pulled the screw out that is on top. I'll force it and see how it goes...
Thanks guys.

RavenTai, is there a better/brighter bulb to replace the oem with?

I agree the parking lights are weak.

But for the most part with incandescent bulbs brighter means more current draw and more heat, depending on how much overhead there is in the wiring for more current and in the housing for dissipating heat that may or may not be a problem.

In that socket size (# "168" IIRC) you cannot get much brighter anyway,

LED's draw much less current and produce much less heat for the same light output, problem is the reflector in the housing is built for a bulb that outputs light in a 360 degree pattern, LED's output light in a cone who's dimensions vary depending on the LED (sometimes called viewing angle) making for just a bright spot on the lense instead of the whole lamp appearing lit.

I have though of a solution to this, drilling the reflector for a field of LED's possibly as many as 100, or what ever it takes to get the desired effect this would make the entire light appear lit and also put light in all directions the reflector faces, but it would take quite a wile to mount wire and re-seal, I have not and may never get to it.

Thanks, very good info. Think I'll stay with the oem lights...
