I searched but couldn't come across anything. I've gotten rearended and have a replacement lower tailgate to replace the dented one with. It looked simple, but I can't figure how to get the plug between the body panel and the bumper cover. Mine may be smashed in if there is normally room. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Has anyone taken their lower tailgate off?
What I am trying to do is figure out how the electrical connector comes out of the area that it is snaked through to underneath the truck. Or if mine is so damaged that the rear crossmember is pushed into the panel?
