Removing Flares?

Has anyone out there removed the factory fender flares? I found a higher mileage 100 that maybe a possibility but it has flares and I would like to take them off. Does this require a repaint or anything? It is a white LC with gold flares.

As all flares on 100 series are not factory installed, but port or dealer or owner installed, I'd imagine it was just put on with adhesibe and not drilled into the sheetmetal.

The only issue you may have is the paint under the flares would look new, whereas the other paint may be faded.

can you post a picture of the flares? I have not seen a 100 LC with them installed
