Pinto or Fiesta?:grinpimp:

Pinto for you, definitely Pinto for you.:flipoff2:

I KNOW...I KNOW!
Might need your help with that one finding it. Donno what the hell Im looking for.:p

Pretty much any "behind the rear axle" Ford truck tank. Ford started using them in 1973 and stopped in 1997. The F150-350's with the duel tank option, these were the rear tank. Fuel injection started in 1986. Those are the ones to go for. Here is a link for a replacement, it will at least give you the measurements to see if it would even work. They are rated at 19gal.

Theres one in my dump truck if you need to get measurements and look at the filler necks and sending unit locations.

There are some changes throughout the years, but they are basically all the same.

Not positive, but I think the FI trucks used a low pressure pump in the tanks and a booster pump on the framerail so the switchover valves didn't have to run full pressure through them.

Bronco's came with a 30-35 gallon tank that is very similar in dimensions except depth.

If you needed more, lots of Suburbans came with 40+ gallon tanks and fit in the framerails of a Chevy truck.

Ive gotta work, but when I get a chance Ill crawl under the rig and see apporx. how that would sit.

Thanks Will.
Id be happy with 15-20 gal as it is with the space I have available...Its getting TIGHT in that rig for cargo.

Im just gonna have to wait till I get the rear axle placed and see what space I have available under there AFTER I figure a wrap bar and x member for it.

The filler neck is the only thing that might through a wrench into the works. My buddy was able to get it to come out on the drivers side rear (which is where they are on the trucks) on his YJ when we put one in his rig.

The thing is for whatever reason, and as far as we could tell when we did this before, is that there is no rhyme or reason on which fuel pump ford used. Some had a low pressure pump with the booster pump on the frame, under the cab area. Others had a full pressure pump in tank. We were told the only way to tell, was to check the frame for the booster pump. If it was there, you had the low pressure pump, if it wasn't, then you had the high pressure pump. The high pressure pump ran my buddies 4.0l Jeep motor with no problems.
