Remote Starter for an HDJ81 Turbo Diesel??

Im wondering if anyone has installed a remote car starter in an 1991 HDJ81 Turbo Diesel Landcruiser?? Im thinking about this and some shops warn about the tachometer not being resposive enough and some shops say they have done some with success. Wondering what the word is on the street?? Its the deep freeze out here now and it would be great to run the truck for about 5-10 minutes before heading off in the morning and not have to sit in it and wait for it to warm up.

there was a guy in Edmonton who had one put in.. it was really expensive .. I think he paid about $1000... I also think he said the guy would do others for about $750.. still seems really high though!!

I have one in mine and it works great when it is warmer but can be finicky at -25c as it does not crank long enough to start the truck on the first try sometimes.
