Remote start install issues - (1 Viewer)

So, i bought the factory Lexus RES module. The cheaper one that doesn't use the app.

I got the service manual, and installed per the instructions.

After install, you connect the batter, then connect the res diag connectors together at the passenger side kick panel.

Then cycle the start stop button 14 times - Got the single flash feedback from the hazards

The start the car and turn off after 10 seconds - Got the single flash feedback

Then disconnected the diag connector

According to the directions, it should be programed, however the car still wont start with the remote...


What am i missing?

Did you go into Techstream and register the ECU on page 16 Step I?

I did not... I misread in the instructions. I thought it said that if the button thing worked, then you didnt need to do the tech stream stuff. But i guess i was wrong!

Hi Ryan, were you able to install the remote engine start. I am stuck with not able to find the 1P Res diagnostic connector from the vehicle.
