I'd thought I'd share a little project I put together.

Hi all,

Neat project Mike, nicely done!

Regards,

Alan

Coleman tripod/skyhook, was cheap at some sports place that was having a sale, my wife bought 3 of them. Something like $10 - $15 each, maybe 10 years back. Obviously not raised to full height below. The tripod feet can be staked (tent pegs) into the ground if necessary (never had to).

Put a triple LED head on it with locline so I can point the light where I want it, versus one giant blinding beam...

The LEDs (as a triple) can be dimmed via a LED driver in the blue plastic box. These are on a relatively low setting to not blind the camera. Runs off a 12V gell cell - hung from the skyhook or can be plugged into a vehicle 12V outlet via a long extension.

Picture from 10+ years ago showing it in action. The light behind the tent is my younger son with his own LED light digging holes for fun...

cheers,
george.
