Over rated on how hard it is to replace. Just replace with a OEM toyota and call it a good 30K until you need to do it again.

Now I can wobble through it - thanks Half K! Just did the PPH so I'm very familiar with wobbling through the splash guard and reaching difficult spots - still have a few healing cuts from that one too.

NLXTACY, I think this has the potential to be like other cool mods you see with Landtank, Slee and Gamaviti - practical and serves a useful purpose. We can't be the only ones that would like this. I think the pressure gauge has potential for tuning - it always good to know what your supply is.

Only problem I have were I live is the banjo hose makers. Not much around here like that so I'd follow your lead on custom hoses with no responsibility implied. My other option could be salvaged banjos and rubber hose

Well, I will order up another fuel filter. I have a couple of other things I need to order anyway because I have a Ron Davis on order so lots to replace since I'm there. Once I have the fuel filter in hand I will get a SolidWorks model of the new manifold and take it from there.

All of that work to "fix" something that Toyota doesn't even call a maintenance item? I know of several that have ~300K mi and the filters look to be original without issue. It's a bit of a pain, but needs to be changed what, every 20 yrs or so?

:meh:

It's low on my priority list and my primary objective is not for replacement. It's for tuning. With SC and soon IC I want data. This will just be a permanent install is all.

Because it was designed to be serviced by ill-equipped shops in 3rd world countries.

Oh wait...

:flipoff2:

hahahahha, I'm glad somebody finally brought it up. Everybody talks about these trucks being built to be serviced in 3rd world countries. Then you do your first fuel filter, phh, headgasket, and you start thinking, bull**** ! Your 3rd world country better have a Sears.
