Yes, I registered. I know there are other events about the same time, but there is nothing like CM. I signed up for 'Golden Spike', 'Behind the Rocks' and 'Kane Creek'. I think all are 7 rated. :grinpimp:

Yeah, I'm going, just not during the event...too much bull butter for my liking. Moab is a lot better in small groups.

Agree.

Although- I may go down and hang out during the event.

Larry you coming out just for the event, or are you spending some additional time out this way?

CM

I am going out a day early to take part in an all FJ Cruiser run organized by Chris (Sandstorm FJ). I have made a lot of friends by attending - Such as Athena and JaxToy, and Kris & Wendy, enjoy running with them on the trails. If you sign up for the tougher trails, ie 7's or more, there are not many on these runs. I did Pritchett Canyon last year in the rain and there were only about 6-7 rigs on this run. I signed up for all 7 rated trails this year except for Kane Creek which is a 6 but may shift around some of the trails.-Larry

Kane creek and spike are awesome trails. KC is very scenic.

Actually, I recieved the majority of my sheet metal damage on the kane creek trail.

The nice thing about moab ( and utah in general ) is that even in the middle of summer when it's the hottest. It's still not as bad as the Iowa humidity. 100 degrees in Iowa feels like 120. 100 degrees in Utah feels like 90.

That being said- spring and fall would still be the best times to visit Moab, as there is not a lot of shade.

I'm sure Luke could find us his fine supplier of big arse sombreros and we'd be "made in the shade"...

I can't afford to go to CM 10 and make a return trip to Moab later. So after BHCC 10 I'm heading to Moab.
Thats my plan and I have not told the wife yet.
John
We husbands call that 'good planning' -Larry:cheers:
