This is probably common knowledge, but this might serve as a reminder for other newbies like me. I just registered as an owner at lexus here:

Lexus Drivers

After putting in the VIN, I now have access to the vehicle's entire service history! The best part is I found out that the PO took the car to the dealer for service every 5K miles and did the T/belt and water pump on schedule at 90K miles exactly!

Before I get too excite about found money, I have a couple questions:

The 90K mark was hit in 2008. Is there a number of years in which it makes sense to do that tbelt service again, regardless of mileage?

It sounds like it is common for dealers to overlook the heater hose "Ts", should I just go ahead and get this done as a precautionary measure?

Yes, I believe it's 7 years, so it sounds like yours is coming up. And do the Tees too, I got mine in the mail this week. Cheap insurance, was about $25 for the two.

Ah, buzzkill ;)

Oh well, I was planning on doing it when I bought the car.

yep, both lexus and toyota maintain great records on vehicles. also helps when deciding on a truck to buy, really helps to see ahead of time if the truck has been maintained properly
