Hey guys, well the time is upon us for the annual July 4th meet (being held this year on Sunday the 1st of July). This started out as an MR2 meet and the first year I attended we filled the old location to "overflow" with 36 MR2s, a beautiful mkIV Supra, and a Lotus. Since then we've moved to a larger, more shaded location out here in Mineral Springs at my house at 2705 Tom Laney Rd. just southeast of Charlotte near the NC/SC border. Plenty of parking, restroom, shaded garage area to hang out in, and lots of good company from Toyota folks from all over the area. We caravan up the street for lunch (less than 5 minutes away, pizza/pasta/subs place called Farley's) and when folks have wanted to, we also had a spirited cruise... hasn't happened the last few years as most people have already driven in a ways and most folks aren't looking to drive more. I've got an 83 Celica Supra myself as well as my 88 Land Cruiser and my MR2s of course. Anyone who wishes to check out our shop up the street (Backyard MR2) and our projects there (93 MR2, 93 RX7, 88 SC MR2, 92 MR2, 91 MR2 and I'm picking up another 93 project this week). I've still got a few leftover MR2 shirts, hats and beanies, key chains for the second and third gen MR2s, and MR2 pint glasses too. Event location is 2705 Tom Laney Rd. Monroe, NC 28112. As a Toyota nut I'd love to have some Celica Supras come out to keep mine company. We usually have a caravan down from Raleigh, and one up from Columbia, if you need to get in contact with folks caravaning let me know and I'll try to arrange e-mail or phone contact ahead of time so you can set that up. Thanks guys, hope to see some of you there!
I know I'm not super active on the forum here, between going to school for paint and body, I end up working on MR2s so much I don't get much time for the Cruiser or to do much with it
