hey guys.. my 100 had 92k and the original battery. I was at costco and saw optima red tops for $99 so i grabbed one. Is there any trick to getting this battery to fit. It seems to be to small. I had a hard time getting the negative to reach the post, but i did get it. Then today at work my wife goes out to it and its stone dead. She calls me in a dither.. help help.. so I told her to check the neg cable. as it turns off the negative slipped off the post somehow. I made sure it was supertight when i put it on. Anybody run into this before or any thoughts? am i missing something here?

Not 100% sure on a 100 series, but most Optima's need a riser (should have come with one) to fit correctly in an 80 series. I bought a red top at Costco for another vehicle and it had the riser on it .... if you didnt get one, go back and I'm sure they would hook you up.
