Just thought I'd throw this up in a separate thread in case anyone wants to join (and doesn't see it in the other Red Cone thread).

Since I'll be out of town for the run on the 20th, I'll be heading that way on Saturday, the 13th. So if anyone else can't make it on the 20th, or would like to run with us on the 13th, you are more than welcome! Right now it looks looks like we have several other Toyotas running with us, most from CoTTORA, the other group I frequent.

Here's the info:

When: 9-13-14 @ 0930
Where: Red Cone (meet just off US285 on Cty Hwy 60 (Hall Valley Road)
Why: Because I can't make it on the 20th lol

Let me know if you want to join us so we know who we are waiting for at the trail head!

CAUTION:
This is an unsanctioned, unauthorized CLC event. Participants will be punished!

:D Ha. Just kiddin'. Wish I could make both dates... and wish you guys could make the 20th. Have a fun, safe trip. :steer:

Looks like you guys are going to have a nice weather weekend for wheeling and Oktoberfesting. We were at Keystone's last week and had a good time.

Yup. Travis just wants as many people on the Sep 20th run so they can witness the next stunt he pulls in the Hundo.

Are y'all a month ahead of the rest of the world? How can you do Octoberfest in September? It makes my simple Midwestern Texan brain hurt.

Pictures!

Didn't get any pix at the base and approach trail through the woods--but be forewarned, that section has some tight off-camber switchbacks with 'wagon-whacker' trees at the apex. None of us hit them, but it was plenty sketchy. The only trail carnage was my swing-out tire carrier--the metal fatigued and broke a plug out where the spindle was welded atop the bumper. It flopped off 100yds from the top of Radical Hill.:hillbilly: (note to self: weld spindle to bottom, vertically through the bumper, then at the top).
