Can anyone recommend a good map(s) for Georgia that might show forest roads?

Particularly looking for something that focuses on North Georgia Mountains and surrounding areas in NC and TN.

Paper map? If you can find this one it’s pretty handy and it’s got POI’s. From time to time I’ve seen it available at Amazon for far too much $ but also at some ranger stations and state park offices. I picked up a couple several years ago and have about worn them out. They are always in the glove of both my vehicles. The National Geographic are great and they come in sections so you can get the ones you need and they are really detailed.

App map standard for me Gaia, it’s got National Geographic map overlays and they have a forest roads plus there are several other layers that are helpful.

Also, it’s always a good idea to check for forest service road closures before going out so you don’t end up running into a closed gate. You can do that here at the fs.usda.gov site

Check out the GeorgiaOverland.com website for just about all known off pavement tracks that you can download to your GPS. If you want a paper map, you can find a pretty cool map of N. Georgia if you stop at Wolf Pen Gap Country Store at the intersection of Hwy 60 and Hwy 180. It's a hand drawn map that they've had printed and they sell them to all the bikers and offroaders in the area.

Thanks @BMThiker.

I have seen the Georgia overland site, which is great.

Do you know if there is a way you can download that GPS data to the Lexus navigation (2014 LX 570)?

Factory NAV is a no go for importing custom waypoints or tracks. You'll need to use your phone or tablet and get an app like GAIA, OnX, or similar. There is a whole section of IH8MUD dedicated to Navigation & Comms

I’ve passed that store hundreds of time and have never been inside. Is it worth a stop for anything other than that map?

They have a lunch counter as I recall, but I've never gotten anything from them other than maybe a canned drink or a coffee.
