Some of you probably have at lease one of these in your garage but I just recently purchased one: Rechargeable aerosol container for brake/parts cleaner.
I got to use one last year while working in a local 4x4 fab specialty shop for a day. I was addicted ever since. The typical aerosol cans of brake cleaner we all buy at the local auto parts store are not very user friendly IMO. Too much volume and PSI for most of my jobs being the biggest issue and not far behind is the nasty smell from the carrier.
Anyway I just charged mine today and used it for the first time. Based upon my experience this is a must have for any DIY home mechanic!
Sureshot Products
I bought the 1qt brass model from McMaster-Carr. It came with just one tip...a fine mist type spray pattern. Ideally it would be nice to have a stream type too...and they are available apparently directly from the manufacturer: SureShot.
You can purchase liquid non-chlorinated brake cleaner at some of the Kragen stores: $99 for 5-gallons (which should last a long time!).
Just a useful FYI.
