Recentered wheels

Just wondering how the HUMVEE rims are recentered. I know they have 2 ways to recenter the HUMVEE rims flat weld in pieces or pressed centers.

Questions: 1) Are the original centers welded in or pressed in?
2) When the centers are pressed in are they then tacked in place?
3) Has anyone tried pressing in the centers themselves?

The original centers are part of the wheel, they are waterjetted out. I think there is a step by step on the process on the front page over at pirate.

this link is better. The pressed centers supposedly fit into a lip in the wheel and are therefore keep the wheel true. The flat centers have a bad rep for not balancing.
