I have for sale a bebuilt 4-speed transmission and transfer case from late 73 built FJ40. The t-case is the '3 speed' iteration with the lower gearing as I understand it. There was nothing "wrong" with it to begin with, I just wanted it to be in great shape to link up with a rebuilt motor.

Tons of new stuff went into the build, including new transfer case input and output gears, new transmission output shaft, and new bearings/seals/gaskets for both transmission and t-case. Darrell Noorda in Utah did all the work on it.

Here are pictures from when everything was built - about 6 years ago. It has been stored as it was shipped since then. If you're interested, let me know. I will open up whatever I'm capable of opening and send you as many pictures as you want. Happy to answer other questions.

Asking $1,600 + shipping, OBO. Fastenal/Blue Lane shipping shouldn't be too horrible east of the continental divide. If Fastenal won't work for your location (or you want to use a different service), I'd ask you please arrange the shipping particulars and I will drop it off on a pallet.
