I was trouble shooting my FJ-60 rear window washer and found a leak in the gromet that joins the tubing from the right rear of the cargo area under the headliner thru the gromet into the right rear cargo window. I tried to pull the seam cover and two plactic strips that provide a seam for the headliner to the rear posts. My question is the headliner seems to have a metal piece that goes from side to side and I can't see how it's attached. How can I pull that portion of the headliner back to access the tubing and the leak? Many thanks in advance.

I have the same problem. Tubing broke inside the boot that goes from the roof to the rear lift gate. I tried to use a splice, but only worked for a few weeks.

I was afraid to pull the headliner back because I wasn't sure how it would go back together.

I think I could repair a leaky piece of plastic tubing as long as I could figure out how to peel back or loosen the rear section of the headliner. Anyone know how to get that done?

This thread was very helpful... Thank you!!!
As predicted, break was at the hinge.... replaced entire line with clear rubber fuel line...
Total length measured 11’ ... purchased 12 feet.
Removing driver’s side rear external vent and cargo light to increase access was a helpful hint.
