Just thought I'd give you a tease on my new project,It's not finished yet, I'm kind of designing it as I go, the back is proving to be more difficult than the front . I'll keep the post updated as I go.

Ok here is what I came up with , it is all welded together but still a bolt on bumper,I'm going to make a swing out arm for fuel/water cans

Are you trimming any plastic or just designing around whats there?

yes I had to trim the plastic that was right behind the double stacked bars, the fj bumper corners are all molded as one piece.

I added steel behind the tube so you cant see the fj body through the bumper.

cowboy4x4, what great work! both ends are looking awesome  can't wait to see what you do next

Cowboy,

this is a nice bumper. I can have this mass produced... pm me if interested.

Mass production would be a great idea, I would by one. I think you should do both the front and the back, and retire a rich man. That looks really great.

Fatback

how about a plate across the back to hide all the holes?

I want one but I dont have the tow package and was looking for something like this but with an intergrated reciever. Is that possible?

Anything is possible.....I might be getting hired on as a Toyota Trail Team driver so I may be gone for 7 months I wont be able to make anything while I'm gone I'll know more in a week.

well congrats hope that goes well.
I have some advise though, if something goes wrong and its obviously equipment related do not let them blame you as the driver. Some guys had that issue when 2 of their rear ends blew in Moab and then the TT rear blew. The tt leader said "oh its driver error that is one of our more inexperienced tt drivers." when my buddy took his to the dealer to get it fixed they said it was not abuse or misuse. during the first runs, start to Nov 06 they didnt harden the rear gears proporly.
