Looking for a bit of advice. Taking the truck for some maintenance from a very well respected cruiser/Toyota shop here in SD. Everything seems straight forward except the quote for the rear sway bar link bushings which came back at $1000.....am I missing something here? I thought replacing those was a pretty easy job.

Thanks for any advice.

Huh? $1000 to R and R the rear sway-bar bushings? Unless your truck lived in NYC since 2007 and is a rusty hunk of junk, you are not looking at much money to do the work.

Parts cost, even at Toyota MSRP, is about $130 which includes the D-style bushings, the end link bushings, and the link assemblies themselves.

I would go back and question that.

Send me some money for shipping and I will send you my nearly brand new swaybar links and bushings. Replaced them with trail tailor extended shortly after replacing everything. One banana job

That’s a very generous offer and I may take you up on that. Did you go with the TT extended by you are running a lift? I’m running a 2.5

Thanks

Yes I did the TT extended. I have the 2.5 OME and it made one of the largest differences in ride comfort. If you're gunna replace everything I would recommend doing it correctly and going extended from the get go. Everything is less jarring and it soaks up things that used to rattle my teeth. I think the front extended made the biggest difference but the rear def helped as well. Front was night and day though

In my option they should be apart of the lift
