Hey all in the 70 series world. I just picked up a bj70 in BC and got it down to CA. The drivers side rear spring had 2 snapped leafs which I realized in OR. I put a coil-over shock on it to carry the extra load to make it home. I had a bit of fun at Pismo and snapped it completely (oops) for not seeing the steep drop at the end of this small drop and i basically forgot all about the spring being weak. It broke in front of the axle and broke in such a way that I was still able to drive home on it, lucky.
anyway, I was wondering, are 40 springs basically the same? I'm keeping this things pretty stock as a driver and some towing. I was even thinking about putting fronts springs in the rear for the extras load and tow stability. I also have the (sensatrack) shocks with the coils for added support and ride. Anyone have any thoughts? Would it work? Wound it be too stiff putting fronts on the rear? Thanks much for any help you can offer.
P.S. If anyone has any tips, parts or tips on parts for putting on a/c that's on my list. thanks.
