I have a 2003 stock land cruiser. I want to remove the plastic rear spoiler. How easy is this to do? Will there be holes left and if so any suggestions on filling them?

Thanks,

Matt

took mine off and the backwindow would get dirty after about 5 minutes, constantly washing it, even on paved roads. It's the only rear wing that actually pushes air down the back of the truck, keeping 75% of the dirt from sticking to it that gets kicked up. and when its raining and you have rainX on the rear, the air pretty much blows the water right off.

I suggest you keep it on, or paint it the color of your truck. My thoughts. I put mine back on after about a month.

x2...it's there for a reason....you don't want to deal with filling holes and water leaks...whether it looks cool or not is personal preference...

The flat blade spoiler version is functional for the back window. The LX came with both styles in 01 and I chose the flat one.

Though it kinda sucks not being able to open the hatch with skis or surf boards up top! Which for me is quite often. I'm still thinking mine will come off eventually and I'll weld up the holes and get it all repainted. Poor design.... IMHO.

EDIT: Sorry...just venting again!

there are drain holes in the tailgate already, so it wouldnt even matter.

I removed mine, well my garage did. I thought that it looked unfinished so put another back on. Real easy to take off/puton, I think it was an allan wrench and 5 mins.

You have the newer, ugly version however..... Not the cool one :D

I would take it off your hands if anyone is thinking about removing theirs!
