I've been wanting to mount my Tembo Tusk slide behind the passenger seat and use it out the side door.

Cant get my 45 Engel to fit thru the opening without putting it in at an angle, which then puts it up above the seat mount hump another few inches and restricts the seat travel for the passenger.

Can anyone give me an idea on how to mount the slide so it'll go half way out the door, then pivot on itself about 30 degrees towards the back of the truck, and then finish the rest of the slide?

i really want to keep the center of the weight as low as possible. I figured I'd weld an aluminum frame and bolt it into the holes the seats used to use.

I'm thinking of putting a flat RotoPax water bladder under it's frame and some quick connect hose connections and a drain valve too. The Roto Pax /bladder won't slide out, but hopefully when full, will help in aid as a counterweight for when the big fridge is cantilevered out over the door opening.

Thanks in advance for your ideas.

Sounds complex. Why not out the back like everyone else? Or failing that, maybe a smaller fridge?

How about this-take out the passenger seat. Mount the Tembo fridge there and have it come out the front door. Then your family will know what is important to you.:D

one passenger seat is gone already, now that the boy doesn't need to use a booster, i can ride him up front.
out the back it's still too high for the wife to reach in. Even more of a stretch for the 8 year old...but not for long.

it is complex, but simple.

and i'd have a 50 pound slide, and a 75 pound fridge, plus food with 5 gallons of water in the center, lowest spot possible instead of riding above the rear door lip, blocking my view and reducing the size of what I can store up there by half.

i think i need to put a bar stool swivel plate on the bottom of my engel plastic mount tray, then a 10" lateral slide tray, and then just drill some pins that locate at the angle that clears the door, when it's hanging out.

Somebody needs the slide out tray for espressos in the morning...
And if the water is right there, with a handy pump or nozzle...
