Hello, 2001 Toyota sequoia 218,000 miles limited edition. I've recently had an issue where my rear right rim is hot when I drive. I've checked the emergency brake and when I looked at the brake pads those were extremely worn down compared to the other three wheels. I had my rotors turned I replaced all the brake pads on the vehicle, and I also had the calipers checked by a Mexhanic friend that was visiting. He did note that the brake line to that rotor was cramped and it did need to be replaced so I did that as well. I have a greased up the caliper pins and I'm about to replace the caliper boots for those pans for the wheel in question. What I think is happening now is that I'm getting excessive heat and an indication of brake dust for both of the back wheels now. I realize that brakes get hot but I would expect the two front rims to be hotter than the two back ones when the reality is that reverse. I don't want to start throwing expensive parts by replacing calipers and brackets and what not, and I don't know if this vehicle has a brake proportioner and if so where that's even located and if that something I can DIY. I have checked the fluid on the master cylinder and it was just slightly over filled so I drained a little bit out to get it exactly to the max line. That had zero effect on the issue. The last thing I checked as a last ditch effort was the abs sensor to see if it was dirty but it was perfectly clean. If anyone has any suggestions as to anything I can do to fix this issue or replace apart I'm all ears cuz I'm at my wits end. Thank you.
