I’ve given up on upper control arm skids. The long and the short of it comes down to the fact we’re too low volume of a market and none of the fabricators can be bothered.

I need to take action though, so I’m looking at alternatives. A guy I met suggested some beefier replacement control arm mounts from a company called Reesz.

They’re made for the FJC/4Runner/GX and some other models, but don’t list the 200 as fitting.

He thinks they’d fit, but before I dump money into a set, I’d like to see if these platforms share the right dimensions (frame width at the mount).

Can anyone with a 4Runner or GX measure the frame width where the rear lower control arm mounts are attached so I have a reference point?

The manufacturer of these beefier replacement mounts says: They're built around the 120. The opening is about 2 3/8".

Measured my old 200 series lower link. It is 2.431" wide.

Thanks. This might just work!

If you’re going to get a welded solution, why not Just weld some plate over your existing mount?
Save shop fab time and take the plate tracings on cardboard. All they have to do is trace cut and weld it up.
