So I was coming down Truck Hill in Hollister yesterday (hard packed dirt, 30 degree incline), and the rear driver side brake was locked up the whole descent. The passenger side kept rolling most of the time, although it locked up a bit too.

My concern is that the braking pressure seemed uneven. I noticed this on a couple other descents too. Could this be uneven pad wear? Any thoughts on how to correct?

A couple other things I noticed, as this was the first time wheeling my LX470:
* I went up truck hill in 4L with center diff unlocked. I forgot to lock it because I've never had a separate 4L and center diff lock option. When I got tire slippage it definitely seemed like the whole drive train was kind of "clunking". Is it not a good idea to tackle steep hill climbs with center diff open?
* Clearance in AHC HI seemed better than my 4runner, and I went through a section that required spotting in the 4runner w/o even stopping.
* I did miss the e-locker on my 4runner, and had to turn back on a hill that the runner went up.
* I liked being able to lower the car going across off-camber terrain.
* It definitely feels "heavier" off-road than the 4runner does.
* I did breeze through a section my buddy required spotting for in his Wranger Unlimited Sport. That was a win for the LX.
* Also led a lifted FJ and 4Runner through a section they were wary of taking in my stock LX, another win.

All in all, I was pretty impressed w/ the off-road performance. And of course, the ride home at 80 mph was super smooth.

Check sliding bolts on rear calipers. And at the same time check for sticking e-brake crank (separate systems).
The rest sounds like a normal 100-series experience. :)

It has not locked up other than on those steep off road descents. It also doesn't pull to one side when braking on-road.

I did recently tighten the parking brake, so maybe it's too tight on that side? I rotated it by hand before putting the wheel back on and it didn't seem to be grabbing. I guess I'll pull the wheel again this weekend and see if all looks fine...
