every time i open my rear door all the way the hydrolic arm goes to lock mode and every time I go to shut my door I have to push the yellow lock piece in the middle of the arm and close at the same time. It's a struggle too close sometimes when my hands are full. Any advice on how to fix or just get a new hydrolic arm?

It is malfunctioning if it does that. I always had to give mine a solid pull to get it to lock. I've not heard of one failing in that manner.

i have the exact same problem. i just thought it was a good idea just poorly desined. so its not saposed to auto lock in the open position

no mine used to have the option to lock it by pulling the yellow piece in the middle out (toward you) or else it would just stay unlocked and be able to shut without pushing the piece in to shut.
