So my friend has a 96 4runner and got upper control arm(links) and was wondering which side the HEIM joint goes, to the frame or axle side? 3 different answers from toytec and need help.

I'm not sure it matters. They are for adjustability and as long as they are both on the same end I think either way will be fine.

The thought process is to have one end adjustable and the other has a bushing to absorb vibration.

Also since they are the uppers they aren't in alot of danger of getting hung on anything. If they were lowers I would put the joint at the frame so the axle end has the beef to drag around on.

YEh thats what I figured. Thanks
