Rear glass removal?

I've searched and found nothing.

Has anyone ever taken their hatch glass out?

I have some rust bubbles along the bottom of the glass that I'd like to address in the spring.

Is it something a skilled person can DIY, or should I just be looking for a used rust free hatch?

There is a windshield removal tool that you will probably need, kind of looks like a knife on a 90° pick. You run the sharp end of the tool between the glass and the sealant to unseal the glass from the vehicle.
