Hey guys,

Last night i was rear ended. I'm feeling the pain and hitting the doctor today.

I drove the truck home and it seemed fine...

But! The collision moved the rear bumper foward about an inch on one side. All bolts where accounted for, and they had no way to 'slide', i looked at the frame and couldn't find any 'oddities' but i'm confused on how the bumper has been shoved up. I'm thinking that the bumper mount caved and I didn't notice, the bolts sheered but wont budge, or the frames tweaked. The bed appears to have not moved at all, and the truck leans a little more than it did before on the drivers side...

I want to establish whats wrong before I take it to a shop for an 'estimate', as the shops around here normally say "what do you think is wrong? Ohh... Okay, well let us total that up for you and get back with your insurance company..."

But I don't want to be wrong because the insurance company is dead set on sending their inspector/adjuster dude out here.

I'm going to get an estimate from two local dealers, and two local shops i know personally. If the bumpers caved, how much do you think its worth? Its a custom job that the PO got off of TTORA...
Thanks!

I would start at the bumper mounts, and work my way forward looking for warping, if it's leaning, I'd look to see if the frame or bed mounts are damaged.

Looks like a Neon driver finally got tired of being the jealous tailgater trapped behind a beautiful 'Yota?

if there's nothing obvious by the bumper I would check out that spot on the frame where they like to bend when there's too much weight on the rear just a thought.

Chrysler something.

Sad part is... She was stopped behind me and a toyota supra pushed into me at a stop sign.

I cannot see visible damage to the frame, and she is driving just fine.

Found out that the only way I will get reimbursed with a check directly to me is if their adjuster comes and inspects it and determines the apparent damage.

My camper shell got cracked, which surprised me...

if your camper shell got cracked, then there must be some damage to the bed.
