i dont know if there is a thread about this or not i skimmed and didnt see anything so srry if there is. this is my problem it seems like when have to come to an abrupt stop and then i start to roll forward after i stop it feels like the tranny is not slipping into the right gear or mabie feels like the rear brakes are grabbing the discs. ive had it up at the toyota dealership and they told me that they didnt hear anything, but it happens just about every time i stop hard. but my toyota dealership sucks ass anyway.
just wondering if anyone is having the problem and what they are doing to fix it. thanks!

I would suggest not stopping so fast!

Just kidding, no really, it is a common problem. I have gotten used to it, I don't think that it is really a problem as much as a PITA (pain in the a$$). Anyway, the dealer would not find anything wrong with it even if they looked. I am not sure what causes it but I would not worry much about it. The first 6 months I had mine I kept thinking that I had just been bumped from behind when it would happen.

I have to say I checked this thread because I was expecting something else after reading the thread title, rear end grabbing, I was hoping for some pics! :bang:

When's the last time you greased your slip yoke? Put 2-3 pumps into the slip yolk at the front of the rear driveshaft and you should notice a difference.

I've been using M1 synthetic (the pink stuff).

I think it is the Brake pump for the Atrac not releasing as quickly as your foot. that causes the late release of the rear brakes.

VTC or whatever it is called when in 2 WD...

Its the same pump no matter how i referance it, so deal with it. :)

thanks for all of the replies i greased my shafts and u joints they needed it, and its still there but it seems like it is not happening as often. i might just have to get my pissed off face on and take a stroll up to the dealership thanks again, i love this website
