Made one of these for fj40z and my self. Theres room for improvement. I tried to get Stephen to swipe j's when he stopped by the house the other night to go by but he is to busy being in heat, I mean in love. :) (stephen not J) guard 001.webp

What is supporting it? It appears you did not use the two lowest bolts? I'd be concerned that if you hit it hard, it rips away.

I have the Slee on mine and while not perfect, it is very very good. It's got scars, and I accidentally jacked up the rear end using it.

Looks good; and Im sure the price was right. Im gonna have to watch that kid around my cruiser it looks like; that and invest in red loctite :D
 
I would have to echo Joe's comments.

Is it just the two bolts that it is connected to?

Would look good painted black either way, good job :cheers:
 
It uses 3 bolts to mount up, very beefy. No need for paint either, stainless all the way. Thanks Fletch.:bounce:
 
thanks for the input joe. like stephen said it mounts on the three points that the factory guard did. I see what you are talking about two more bolts in the bottom would beef it up even more Ill check into that. I sort of figured it out as i went If I ever make some more I found some short cuts.
