Rear door window division removal

I would like to remove and repaint my rear door window division panel (that's the name apparently)

I've attached a photo of the part.

Can this be removed easily or do I need take apart the door to get to it? I suppose I could mask it off and paint it in place too.

Any suggestions?

That rail is a divider/channel run. Screw at the top and one inside the door shell, approx 1/2 way down. Must take the door/panel apart to remove.

If you just want to paint it, mask it off and shoot it with your favorite rattle paint.
