Rear door panel / door handle removal?

before I apply some muscle and break it......anyone know how the door handle should come off? Been searching for the answer - can't find it. The previous owner butchered the panel with screws - time to give it a new lease of life.

If you mean the center handle (the one that opens the door from inside) just take the screw and slide the handle toward the right of the picture and the handle will fall off, then disconnect the steel bar from the plastic clip on the back of the handle.
