rear diff gaskets

Do we have a part number for the rear diff gasket. Both for the 3rd member and the cover? '70 fj40
I'd hate to use silicone. NAPA had no idea where to get it or find it. Thanks

I've had no problem purchasing them from my local know-nothing dealership but it still takes them a couple days to be in my hand. I never remember part numbers off the top of my head, but ordering the diff gaskets for an '85 FJ60 seems to be much easier for them than ordering for a '64 FJ40.

I like using gaskets, but I have no problem using FPIG or RTV if it's the difference between driving and sitting in the garage.

42183-35010 Cork Gasket for cover/housing

FWIW, I'd just use silicone or some other FIPG on the diff/housing union -- No paper gasket. DO use the cork though on the cover.



Edit: Poser's fast! And it looks like we have different #s for the paper gasket. Bought my last one with that # about 7 mos ago.

Thanks gents. If I can't find them it will be silicone since Mcgrew is coming up next weekend and need to shake it down a bit.
