Trying to decide betwixt ARB modular dual swingout vs Dissent modular dual swingout for my 200. I already have an ARB front bumper, so leaning in that direction just for continuity, but I know Dissent makes amazing stuff! Any suggestions? Advice? Thanks!
No dog in this fight, but biggest decision for you is probably steel (ARB) versus aluminum (Dissent) construction.
I'd go aluminum for weight savings and resistance to rust and will be installing Dissent front and rear bumpers on my truck if I decide to do that particular mod.
I could be reverse in order, but yeah, these things all want similar holes. My aftermarket bumper didn’t conflict with my oem style aux fuel tank. But it wouldn’t hurt to take a look at the options you are considering and put them in the order that eases install of both.
Also I use the aux tank every day, and the bumper a couple times a year.
As mentioned already, if weight is a factor go with Dissent.
We went Dissent, mainly for the weight but also for the looks. The Dissent fits the styling of the 200 series far better than the ARB. The ARB seems to have been designed to emphasize the curvier 80 and 100 series and this wasn’t changed for the more angular 200.
Dissent is also a small American business started by a cruiser guy.
