Looking for recommendations on a light to mount on my Slee rear bumper, in place where antenna can be mounted on the tire swing out. Was thinking of a single Rigid D2 cube (flood) with a dash board switch. Not looking to wire into reverse lights. Main use would be for illumination when setting up camp after dark, and of course backing up in low light situations.

What's your opinion on the Rigid lights?
Is the flood light the best for my intended use or should I be considering a spot?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I have a single Rigid Dually (not the D2) on the rear of the Cruiser for the same purpose. It had the diffusion lens which is amazing, no hotspots whatsoever it spreads the light perfectly.

If mine works great, a D2 will be even better. Wired the same as you want it, too. Simple, effective. Best part is the current draw is so low you dont have to worry about draining the battery.\

Absolutely recommend that setup...

I have a single Rigid SRQ with a diffused lens.... Would highly recommend the diffused lens, Let me know if your interested in some rigids id be glad to take care of you!

Can't beat 4 of them for $92. Two will go on the front and two in the back.

Decent reviews too.

Those look like they came from the same factory as the ones I have. Mine are in a 2x3 rectangular configuration and I paid more than that on the fabled gone-bad LED group buy. It will be a lot of light for $90. You will want to dim them at times. Someone should make a cheap circuit for that.

I would guess that the circuit would need to provide a less-than-100% duty cycle PWM of a full 12v signal to dim these lights. I'm thinking they are regulated.

Maybe not. Four dimmable lights for $160 isn't such a bad price. They wouldn't be individually dimmable, but the voltage for the four could be connected to the output of the dimmer. On my roll-bar rack all four lights go through one master power switch anyway.

Rigids are nice. Hard to go wrong there if you have the $. We have an order coming in a week or so to go along with our Lifetimes.

Steve, does Lifetime offer anything similar to the trailhawks or rigid flush mounts posted above? I would like to augment my reverse lights and these little pods look like they would be easier to work in then a 2x2 pod.

Possibly... :-)

If they have, or are working on, a flush mount let me know. PM me or FB Erin. She said something about some jerky the otherday too. Maybe I can combine shipping :)

Give me a few weeks and I hope to have something for you.

Sweet!! Consider me sold on a pair if you come up with something. Maybe 2 pair as Erin's Jettas' backup lights are seriously inadequate!

I may also be looking for a set of 4.5" Round floods as upgrades/ replacements for the fender lights on the Massey 165 we just bought. I have to get it to the farm to see how the lights mount, but think a pair of HO floods paired with a set of 4.5" round spots I have a line on should do nicely.

Erin told me about that jerky, I need to get some to try so we can see about a bulk order if we like it. :D

I'll let you know when the flush mounts come in.

Next time you order something shipped from the shop I'll toss in a pack of the jerky.

Hollar about the tractor lights. We have everything you need and are placing another reorder shortly too.

Thanks!

Will await that update. Definitely looking forward to the flush mount info.

Does lifetime have a 4.5" round with a 15* spot beam?
