I have a 2004 LC and backed into a bollard and damaged my rear bumper. I thought I could just pull off the plastic bumper cover and to push out the dent but there was more damage than I thought. I need to replace the metal piece on top and the structural piece with the large holes in it that is facing you. I have never done any body work like this on anything so a few questions. From what I can tell these are the only two damaged pieces and everything else is still square, looks like they just unbolt and get new ones and bolt them back on, is it that easy, then put trim back on?

Also where can I get these parts and is there a refurbished place to get them or a non OEM place, to save a little money?

Order OEM parts online and bolt them on yourself. The plastic bumper cover will come unpainted, so you have to get a paint shop to finish it for you.

Either that or find someone who replaced their stock bumper with aftermarket and see if they will sell you the parts.

Good Luck!

You might be out enough dough trying to repair this correctly. Want to consider an ARB steel bumper?

I've got a gray OEM bumper and all the parts in San Diego. Not sure how much it would cost to get them to Austin or even what color you're looking for, but if you're interested, let me know.

and depending on how long you're willing to wait, I'll be replacing my grey(river rock green mica) later this summer(maybe fall) and you're welcome to mine. It'll be either here in Houston or in San Antonio.....my factor front is sitting in San Antonio, if anyone wants it.

Thanks for all the offer y'all I am still weighing my options. I took the plastic bumper off and heated it up and pushed out the dent and banged on the metal some and put it back together, it doesn't look perfect but it's not to bad but I need to something at some point. To replace the rear cross member and the couple other parts I need is $950 and to get an ARB is like $1000 before shipping so I am crazy for not just getting an ARB?

Does anyone know if the rear ARB replaces the rear cross member or does it bolt onto the rear cross member? That is a huge question because I have to replace the cross arm and that part alone is $508.

I believe the rear cross member stays on. Go on car-part.com and see if you can source one. Probably a lot cheaper. You should def get an ARB or the like.
