Trying to find tune the ride on my new to me 2005. Just put in 5100’s/OME 885 coils a few days ago, and noticed some handling issues. Noticed my LCA bushings were shot so I replaced them. Vehicle rides amazing now but the only thing left is a rear end “clunk” when going over bumps fast. The front is completely silent but the rear sounds like metal is making contact. I noticed that my rear bump stops are shot. On one side, half of the rubber is missing. Do you guys think this could be causing the clunking sound? I’m lifted now 3” in the front and 2” in the rear (via airbag sensor trick)
Would you guys recommend extended bump stops such as the 4” durobumps ones with my airbags tricked? Or can I just replace them with stock ones? I will eventually do a coil conversion in the rear so will the stock GX ones be fine with coils? Any insight appreciated.
