Rear/back up camera has spot in the center

My 2006 Land Cruiser has the back up camera relocated to the spare tire swing out on the Slee bumper. I recently had 5 new tires installed. I don't normally pay a lot of attention to the back up camera but noticed I have a dark spot appearing when the camera comes on. It doesn't seem to be the screen, but an issue with the camera. I cannot see a crack where the tire tech would have bumped it lifting and installing the spare. Pretty sure I did a good wiring job when relocating; made new wiring harness rather than cutting and splicing.

Any thoughts on what may be causing this dark blemish?

And yes, I did wash it.

Spots or dark/light areas, is not caused by cabling. Probably caused by defective chip in camera (new camera) or dirt on the lens (cleaning)
