Tossed my third row a long time ago. Going to pull out some extra unecessary items here soon.. mounts, seatbelts... and possibly the rear AC. Mainly interested in cutting weight.

Has anyone successfully removed the rear AC system? I assume this is tied into the same lines as the front so evacuating the system would be in order, possibly brazing some lines closed and re-charging with a new mystery amount of refrigerant??

Just thinking out loud here…. I can’t imagine pulling the rear ac and it’s associated parts is really going to be worth the weight savings. To me, it sounds like a big headache for little return

Dobinson’s drawers are going in so ideally just trying to offset that. There is quite a bit of equipment associated with rear AC, third row seat mounts, etc.

Definitely a lot of associated parts but I imagine pulling the seats, hardware and all that will net you much more for what it’s worth. Just my .02

I plan on doing a rear drawer system as well so I’ll be following to see what you do. I already pulled second and third row seats and I will say that they are pretty heavy, likely 100lbs+ for all the seats alone. So hopefully that will offset some of the weight of drawers
