Rear A/C temperature & CEL. VSC code 37 PNP Switch

Hey guys, running into an issue with rear A/C. Front is ice cold, low thirties. Rear STAYS at 60 on max cold. (Even with it on high, not auto)

Could this be an issue where the system is low but it only affects the rear?

Also, would a CEL kick on the VSC & and TRAC off lights?

*edit* so that anyone else searching for this code will find this solution

The CEL was P0450, for the pressure sensor on the charcoal canister so I ordered that.

I read here

http://www.toyota-4runner.org/probl...ac-vsc-off-lights-zero-point-calibration.html

That OBD II scanners (like the one oreilly auto used to read my CEL) could reset the yaw sensor. The VSC trac & VSC off lights came on after a trip to oreilly for a code read.

I am going to attempt to do the reset described here.

Using the pins on the OBD II CONNECTOR.

Any advice on the rear A/C issue? It never gets colder than 60 degrees.

Guys if anyone has any advanced knowledge of the VSC system, please throw me a bone here.

A little more information on the VSC lights. They only come on when completely stopped (in gear) for about >5 seconds. If I start the LC and immediately drive off, it will not come on at all while moving, not matter how long the drive (have driven 25 minutes so far). But as soon as I stopped for about 5 seconds, the lights kicked on. (I did a test stop for 3 seconds and they did not come on)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Micah

Ok, 10-3 guys (thanks anyway I guess......)

The code would be erased every time I cycled the ignition so I finally had to pin out TC and E1 on the DLC1 connector with the vehicle running so that the code would be currently present.

1) code would only come on if stopped (in gear) for more than 5 seconds.
2) if I started the vehicle and drove off the code would not appear until stopped
3) code would throw VSC TRAC & VSC OFF lights
4) not related to the CEL at all

Anyways, I pinned the DLC1 and got VSC code 37 (malfunction in PNP switch) park/reverse switch.

I checked the PNP switch, the harness and connector are corrosion free and in good shape.

I had recently pulled the instrument cluster to check and see which bulbs were out, and I had swapped the PARK bulb to the DRIVE spot.

BOTTOM LINE: having a PARK indicator bulb out (I would suspect having a REVERSE indicator out would have the same effect)will throw VSC code 37.

Hopefully anyone else who has a similar issue can benefit from this.

Problem solved by swapping another indicator bulb into the PARK spot until mine arrive from the dealer.
