Real time toybox install (1 Viewer)

I have the toybox about ready to bolt to the splitcase. I need to find out which way the alum spacer goes. I cannot get it together it leaves about a 1/4 gap. If I go the way I think (pic #2) I will have to hone out where the allen heads are because they hit. Need to make sure before I scew somthing up. Thanks

I posted the problem so I will post the answer foe any body that runs into this. Per marlin they only use that alum spacer on splicases pre 82 after that then you have dowel pins to line up. So I just took a dremel and ground down the places I needed. It sits flat now.
