Good day to all and hope everyone had a happy weekend.

A brief update. Went to Big Bend in March, brought back unwanted, furry passenger that decided to die. Found him within cup holder unit after removing side panels. Buttoned her back up but stinch still lingering. Now trying to let her air out completely for a few day. Last time I had a heck of a time removing the side panels so this time I want to remove the top first. Before I procede, has anyone done this before?

So far this is what I have removed.

The cup holder itself is easy. Open the cup holder cover all the way and pull straight up on the cover. The cup holder itself will come out with the cover. Mine comes out really easy, not more than 3 or 4 pounds of pull.

Mine's takes a bit more force to pull up, but it does pop right out. Now if I recall, though, there is a wire bundle that is attached to the bottom of the cup holder that you have to work your fingers under there to unclip. Not hard, however...

If your cupholder is a bit tougher to remove (like mine), insert a paint scr@per into the small gap with the rest of the console at the front (engine side) of the cupholder and towards the corners. Do this while pulling gently upwards on the cupholder lid.

Thanks for the tips guys. The air is finally becoming breathable again!
